Where EU Distance Selling Regulations DSRs Cancellation rights and returns apply:
The DSRs
apply to all of our mail order from our mail list and our website.
You have fourteen working days commencing the day following delivery to exercise your cancellation rights, this must be done in writing by email or by letter post. We will respond as soon as we read your communication
normally within 24 hours (working days). It would be advisable to keep evidence of having given a cancellation notice.
In the case of an item you wish to reject upon delivery you must let us know in writing immediately, you should mark the driver's note return to sender. We ask you to please retain any paperwork left by the carrier.
As per the DSRs you should notify us within fourteen days of the day after receiving the goods (cooling off period) that you wish to cancel your order. You should notify us in writing by post or you may use an email, We will respond as soon as we have read your communication.

You may examine the goods but you should not use them other than to satisfy yourself that the item is sound & meets the description as laid out in the
mail order price list or on our website.
If you wish to cancel the order, you must take reasonable care of the product whilst it is in your possession.
As per the DSRs it shall be your responsibility to return the item to our address at your cost.

The item should be repacked as carefully & securely as possible using an equal amount of packing materials as when the item was delivered to you. We recommend that you use the original packing where possible but there must be sufficient for the item to travel safely.
All of the items that were in the original delivery must be returned.
The item should be returned as soon as possible but within a maximum of thirty days of the cancelation. Once we receive the item back we will refund the original amount including the outbound postage or carriage fee in full & in any case within thirty days of cancelation. You will be responsible for the return costs in full, it would be advisable to cover the item with sufficient insurance to cover it's value.
Finally we recommend that you communicate with us so that we can advise you on how best to return the item safely, we will be more than happy to communicate with you.

FAULTY GOODS In the case of
a faulty item being delivered we must be notified of any complaint within seven days of delivery. The buyer must then communicate with us in writing, if necessary with supporting evidence including photographs.

DAMAGE TO A PARCEL In the event of a claim for damage the buyer must notify us immediately in writing by email. If the damage is to the outside of the parcel please make sure that if required to sign for the delivery that you note the damage on the drivers sheet. We recommend that you have supporting photographic evidence of the damage. In all cases of damage do not destroy or dispose of the packing, do not remove the item from the package if the parcel is obviously damaged on the outside, call us immediately. It is the responsibility of the buyer or buyer’s representative to check the packaging of the goods before signing the delivery note. If you receive a package that is damaged you must sign the delivery note as “DAMAGED”. Please remember that we will need to make an insurance claim, so we cannot accept claims for damaged goods if the delivery note of the carrier has been signed for as received in good condition. Any claims for damage or shortfall must be made within twenty four hours. We further recommend when signing for any parcel please sign "UNCHECKED".

LOST OR LATE DELIVERY OF A PARCEL

Heavy parcels travel to mainland UK addresses via Parcel Force
or a suitable carrier we hold the tracking details & we are happy to supply these details on request. We reserve the right to use a carrier
of our choice.

It will be necessary for someone to be on the premises to sign for the parcel when the driver delivers. It shall be the person taking the parcel in who’s responsibility it is to thoroughly check the parcel over before signing for it, if there is any damage to the outside of the parcel a note should be made specifying the problem on the driver’s sheet, otherwise we recommend that you sign for the parcel as “UNCHECKED”. Any damage to the parcel or goods must be reported to both the carrier and HKC Knitting Machines in writing within twenty four hours of receipt.

Overseas parcels will travel by different carriers dependent on destination.

Small parcels to be delivered to mainland UK addresses will travel by ether first class letter post or Post Office small parcels, we obtain proof of posting. Normally a parcel will be delivered within five working days but on some occasions it may take up to fourteen working days from dispatch, so we will not chase or make any claim until fourteen clear working days have elapsed from the date of dispatch. If you require the goods in a hurry then I recommend that you have them dispatched by the twenty four hour or the forty eight hour heavy goods route at the higher cost, please ask for a quote.

GUARANTEE / WARRANTY Where a guarantee is offered the following terms apply. The guarantee covers fair wear and tear only. The guarantee will be deemed to be voided if the equipment is misused or abused. If the item is modified in anyway. If persistent or continued use after a problem has been identified, thus causing further damage. Electrical spikes & incorrect voltage. General wear and tear is not covered by the guarantee. All repairs must be carried out by us in our workshops. It is the responsibility of the buyer to pack the parcel secularly, pay all the costs of carriage both ways. If no problem is found a reasonable charge may be made. Guarantees & Warrantees do not apply to exports outside main land UK due to shipping costs.
